Twenty women traveled from across the Bay on April 4th and made Traveling Postcards for the women of Punta Banco. In conjunction with the CommunicArte Project’s beautiful video and art display, there was plenty of creativity and inspiration to go around!

In My Suitcase!

In My Suitcase hopes to honor and thank all the women who have tucked a few Traveling Postcards into their suitcase before their journey, or who have facilitated their own Traveling Postcards event. Thank you all!

Mary Tuchscherer brought 50 Traveling Postcards to Malawi, Africa as part of her travels with Voice Flame Writers. While in Malawi she met Melanie, a Peace Corps volunteer, who has graciously offered to continue making cards while working in Malawi.

April Rovero, nature photographer, and Soroptimist club member, has taken Traveling Postcards to Namibia, Africa to give away during her adventures.

Elizabeth Ramirez will be traveling to Ghana with cards to give away and she plans on creating many more postcards while she works at Ketu District Hospital.

Fran McTamaney has made "soul cards" into Traveling Postcards with her women's group in Monterey.

Martha Restrepo is making Traveling Postcards with her art group in Gilroy, CA.

Laurie Becklund took 20 beautiful cards to Ethiopia in
October!

Jenn Thornton contributed her beautiful writing talent to help create the new Traveling Postcards website.

Alexis Vilay of Alexismaia Designs created the new Traveling postcards logo!

Janine Cunningham of Americorp VISTA in Harts, WV at the Big Ugly Community Center will be making cards on International Women's Day, March 8th.

Aurora Morton 13years old, has joined with her friends to make more and more beautiful cards to send to the City of Joy!

Amy Rao has generously and graciously agreed to take Traveling Postcards to the Congo in May!!

Melanie Light opened her Fotovision studio and her heart on April 24th for a fabulous creative Traveling Postcards event for all our East Bay friends.

Annette Frost lovingly made cards with her sisters in Niger.

Thank you Andie Thrams for including Traveling Postcards in your amazing workshops this summer!

Consodyne Buzabo brought Traveling Postcards to over 70 children in Uganda.

Lisa Rodondi has shared Traveling Postcards, her inspiration for service and her beautiful light with the students of Marin Catholic High School, and with many others in her community.
She is currently traveling and tucked many cards into her suitcase in order to share their wisdom with the world and to inspire others to do the same!

Ratcliff Architects has graciously donated a box full of beautiful sample fabrics to use at our next Traveling Postcards events. Thank you so much for your generosity and commitment to the arts!

Lisa Sonora Beam traveled to Rwanda in February and packed a dozen or so cards in her suitcase...she returned with over 80 cards now bound for Haiti!

Habiba Palyal warmly welcomed us to the Mt Diablo Center that provides Adult Day Health services. Habiba and her wonderful group of Farsi speaking friends lovingly made over 35 cards to send to Afghanistan.

Thanks to the Meridian Foundation, United Nations Foundation and Full- Circle Learning for bringing Traveling Postcards with them on a extraordinary healing adventure in Haiti.
